Participation rules


GENERAL

Participation

All drivers capable of managing a team in their class, according to the race rules. Drivers under age enter races on the responsibility of their parents, whose signature must be on the entry form.

Entries

The entry form must be sent to the address stated in each individual race announcement. Copy the attached TCE entry form.

   

TCE Cup Sprint+MD

All TCE races count. If only one race is executed, no points are scored.

   

Pure breed

FCI recognised sled dog breeds. Point out on inscription form. Proof to be presented on request.

   

Administration fees

The administration fee for each participant amounts to € 10.-per team.
This amount is always due to TCE.

   

Entry fees

€ 30.- (TCE members do not pay an entry fee.)

   

Mode of payment

Entry form without added € 10.- administration fee is not valid.

   

Class switching

ONLY POSSIBLE TILL FRIDAY 12 O’CLOCK, LATER IMPOSSIBLE.

   

Entry confirmation

Upon acceptance of entry, the local organisation will forward the confirmation and a chipping form.

   

Provision

TCE and the race organisation reserve the right to refuse any entry for just cause (non added administration fee, max. participants, non chipped dogs etc.).

   

Hotel reservation

Each participant is responsible for making his own reservation. In case of race cancellation financial obligations are to be paid by himself.

   

Licences

TCE licences may be earned at all TCE races. Should a driver run within the licensed time limit, he automatically will be seeded with the licensed drivers at the next TCE race.

   

Awards

Awards are distributed at the prize giving ceremony. All non personally collected prices are at the disposal of TCE and the organisation.

   

Insurance/Liability

Accident insurance is the concern of the participant. Each participant is liable for any damage rendered by himself or his dogs, TCE and the organisers do not accept any liability.

   

Vaccinations

Each participant must bring all valid vaccination certificates along. To reduce any contagion at the races, we demand to vaccinate the dogs yearly against RABIES, PARVO, KENNEL COUGH, DISTEMPER, HEPATITIS and LEPTOSPIRA. In case of spot checks at the distribution of starting bibs, the vaccination certificates have to be presented.

   

Stake-out

We expect all drivers to keep their stake-out area clean. Dogs are not permitted to run free. Between 11pm and 7am all dogs are in their boxes.

Juniors

Mark separately in the inscription form.

   

Animal welfare

Chipping

Chipping is compulsory for all dogs in a team.

   

Equipment

Compulsory: ventilated dog-bag, hard compact sled floor.

   

Sprint

 
 

Junior class:

Competing in the normal 4-dog class, rated separately, 14-16 years old.

 

Pulka weight:

ESDRA Race Rules.

 

Skijöring:

Restricted to 1 dog, without pulka or weight, ESDRA Race Rules.

   

Mid-Distance

ESDRA Race Rules

   

Nome style MD equipment

Compulsory: snow-anchor, 4 booties per dog.
In an emergency the sled should enable to carry 2 dogs.
Recommended: additional lines, harnesses, knife, snacks.

By ESDRA-Congress from June 2003, new rules for Pool of middle distance have been created.

ATTENTION:

In case of less than 10 MD inscriptions per race, TCE is not obliged to offer a separate MD trail.
Late arrivals can only pick up starting bibs ONLY from 8 to 8.30 am on first day of race.
